Bauer named advisor by University of Chicago
Consultant named to help plan and teach integrated marketing
program
Chicago, Ill. -- September 15, 1998 -- Daniel Bauer, veteran marketing
and education consultant, has been named to the advisory council and faculty
for a new certificate program in integrated marketing sponsored by the
University of Chicago Graham School of General Studies.
The program, to be launched in early February 1999, will provide college
graduates with strategic and tactical knowledge about contemporary marketing
topics including database marketing and electronic commerce. Targeted
to serve working professionals, the program will be presented in downtown
Chicago at the University of Chicago's Gleacher Center as well as at the
suburban campus of Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Ill.
In addition to Bauer, the council includes local university faculty
and business executives from companies including AT&T, Andersen Consulting,
Discover Card Financial Services, Kellogg, Rand McNally and Walt Disney
Company. Bauer is head of his own Chicago-based consulting firm and the
managing director of The MBA Exchange, Ltd., an advisory network for applicants
to top-ranked business schools. A former senior executive with MasterCard
International and Citicorp, he earned his MBA degree from the Harvard
Business School.
