Mr. Beaird also held operational leadership roles with two multi-billion dollar corporations in the beverage and dairy products industries before launching an entrepreneurial career. Prior to attending Wharton, he served as a Captain in the US Army. Mr. Beaird is a graduate of the US Military Academy, where he was named to the Dean's List and Commandant's List for excellence in academics and leadership.
An MBA graduate of Harvard Business School, Ms. Patel has advised many MBA applicants who gained admission to top business schools, including international candidates who received scholarships. She worked at McKinsey & Company for more than a decade in various professional roles including Associate Partner/Senior Expert in the Consumer Practice. Her clients spanned the food, apparel, package goods and retail industries. Earlier in her career, she worked at Procter & Gamble, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and L'Oréal (Lancôme). Ms. Patel earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan with an emphasis on Marketing and Finance. She speaks conversational Gujarati and Spanish.
An MBA graduate of London Business School, Mr. Isman has collaborated with the LBS recruiting team and conducted applicant interviews in Europe. He also initiated interview training during his exchange program at SDA Bocconi School of Management (Milan, Italy). After earning his MBA, Mr. Isman joined Lazard & Co where he worked in origination and execution of M&A transactions in the utilities-energy and real estate sectors. Previously, he served France’s securities regulation agency (Autorité des Marchés Financiers) leading compliance reviews for corporate and capital markets transactions, including public takeovers and Initial Public Offerings. He also assisted the Bank of Georgia (ex-USSR) in preparation of its IPO on the London Stock Exchange. Mr. Isman has advised a range of MBA applicants targeting top-tier programs. In addition to his MBA from London Business School, Mr. Isman earned a Master’s Degree in Management Science with major in Finance from the University of Paris Dauphine. Tatiana Rodriguez, Ph.D., Senior GMAT Tutor
Dr. Rodriguez earned her Ph.D. and master's degree in physics from the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a bachelor's degree cum laude in physics from Harvard University. Her academic experience includes both tutoring and classroom teaching. After her doctoral studies, Dr. Rodriguez worked in geology research at the University of New South Wales, computational geophysics for an oil project, and engineering physics at a start-up concentrating in optoelectronic devices. Active in non-profits, mountaineering, and astronomy, she has traveled extensively across four continents. Dr. Rodriguez is fluent in Spanish with beginner-to-conversational skills in Portuguese, German, Greek, Polish and French.
Melinda Mathias-Porter, Director of Operations
Ms. Mathias-Porter has been affiliated with The MBA Exchange since 1999. Prior to that, she worked at McKinsey & Company in editing and document production. Reporting to the CEO, she oversees key processes including internal and external communications.
