Alan Shih

An MBA graduate of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Mr. Shih concentrated on entrepreneurship and strategic management. At Booth, he was active with the on-campus LGBT group and with creating a dating app start-up. Following graduation, he was an admissions interviewer analyzing potential candidates on behalf of the Booth admissions staff. He has successfully advised a range of MBA applicants, including waitlistees, on admission to top-10 business schools. Mr. Shih’s professional background includes serving as a strategy consultant for financial services, health and technology clients, a special education teacher for Teach for America, and an education administrator for DC Public Schools. He earned a master’s degree in special education and teaching from George Mason University (Teach for America Cohort) and a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley.
