An MBA graduate of The Wharton School, Mr. Stephenson served as an Admissions Fellow assessing applications and interviewing candidates on behalf of the Wharton admissions office. His background spans finance, entrepreneurship and education. Mr. Stephenson began as an analyst at Goldman Sachs focusing on credit derivatives and mortgage-backed securities. He later worked for non-profit Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO) managing the sales and trading internship program. After teaching math at Achievement First, Mr. Stephenson joined NewSchools Venture Fund as associate partner, then a network of 9 charter schools as Director of Finance. He has also launched two start-ups. While earning his bachelor’s degree in finance and information systems from NYU Stern, Mr. Stephenson received the Madame CJ Walker Award for Entrepreneurial Achievement for co-founding a profitable apparel company. He is conversant in Spanish.
